Autobiography Of Edward B. Clark
Missionary Work


The Clark Family has always been devoted to the church and the members have responded well to missionary calls to go to the nations of the earth to preach the gospel. Ezra T. Clark set the example by filling five missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as follows:

1856, Mission to Europe for two years.
1869, Eastern States Mission for six months.
1871, Eastern Mission for six months.
1874, Canadina Mission for six months.
1876, Mission to Oregon for short-term mission.

The families of Ezra T. Clark have filled missions for the church as follows:

Ezra James Clark, mission to England for three years.
John A. Clark, mission to Palestine. Two years and three months.
Horace Clark, mission to California for two years and two months.
Timothy Baldwin Clark family, a total of 12 years and nine months.
Wilford W. Clark family, a total of 18 years.
Alice Clark Steed family, a total of 15 years and 4 months.
Amasa Lyman Clark family, a total of 18 years.
Joseph Smith Clark family, a total of 12 years and 4 months.
Hyrum D. Clark family, a total of 40 years.
Charles R. Clark family, a total of 40 years and 4 months.
Nathan G. Clark family, a total of eight years and 2 months.
Annie Clark Tanner family, a total of two years.
Sarah Clark Knowlton family, a total of 9 years and 8 months.
Eva Clark Wilcox family, a total of 22 years and 4 months.
Laura Clark Silver family, a total of two years.
Edward B. Clark family, a total of 36 years and 8 months.
Mary E. Clark Robinson family, a total of 11 years and 1 month.

Making a total of missionary work for the church of 256 years and 2 months as of May 1, 1953.
